Manhattan IHCers… get outside right now and get ready to watch Manhattanhenge 2012. And take pictures!
In about half an hour, if you live in Manhattan, you’ll get to see something that only happens once or twice a year— the day when the setting sun lines up perfectly down the east-west streets that run through Manhattan.
If you miss today, you’re lucky, because there are several this year:
- Wednesday, May 30 at 8:16pm (full sun)
- Wednesday, July 11 at 8:24pm (full sun)
- Thursday, July 12 at 8:25pmNeil DeGrasse Tyson explains Manhattanhenge here
